# Connect apps

> Connect email, calendars and CRMs once for your whole workspace, so your agents can act through them during conversations.

The **Connected Apps** page (in the sidebar under **Build**) is where you connect your AI agent to the tools you use every day, such as calendars, email, CRMs and other business apps. Once connected, these apps are available across your whole workspace: connect an app once, and any agent can use it wherever its [journeys](/building/journeys) call for it — taking action for you, from booking appointments to sending emails and automating workflows, right in the middle of a conversation.

<Note>
  Only workspace admins can connect or disconnect apps. If you need an app connected and don't have admin access, ask one of your [workspace's admins](/workspace/members).
</Note>

## What you'll see

Each app appears as a card showing its name, how many actions it offers, and its connection status:

* **Connected** — the app is ready for your agents to use.
* **Waiting for sign-in…** — you've started connecting but haven't finished signing in yet.
* **Needs reconnecting** — the connection has stopped working. Click **Reconnect** to sign in again.
* **Not connected** — an agent uses this app, but nobody has connected it yet.

Some Moneypenny apps show **Included — managed for you** instead. There's nothing to connect — Moneypenny looks after these for you, and they appear on the list once one of your agents uses them.

The page only lists apps that matter to your workspace: ones your agents use (marked **Used by your agents**) and ones you've connected. Everything else stays behind the **Add app** button, so the list never fills with apps you don't care about.

## Connect an app

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Connected Apps and click Add app">
    Go to **Build → Connected Apps** and click **Add app**. Browse the list and click **Connect** next to the app you want. If the app is already on your page — because an agent uses it — click **Connect** on its card instead.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in or paste your credentials">
    Most apps open a sign-in window — sign in to your account with that app and approve the connection. A few apps ask you to paste credentials from your account with them instead; these are stored securely and never shown again.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Watch the card flip to Connected">
    While you're signing in, the card shows **Waiting for sign-in…**. Once you finish, it changes to **Connected** on its own — no refresh needed. The app now stays on your Connected Apps list, even before an agent uses it (you'll see **Not used by an agent yet** until one does).
  </Step>
</Steps>

Once an app is connected, you decide where agents use it by building it into their [journeys](/building/journeys) — connecting an app doesn't change what your agents do by itself.

## Disconnect an app

On the app's card, click **Disconnect** and confirm. Any actions in your agents that use the app will stop working until you reconnect it, so check which agents rely on it first — the card's **Used by your agents** hint tells you it's in use.
